Start Afresh.

New blog. New start !

Things have been rough on me lately. Or I shall say, it's been a really tough and unlucky year, for me and my family. Almost everything that I wished for, turns out to be the other way round. Even the Europe trip ! *sighhh* Something bad MUST happen wherever I go. Gonna jot 'em down before the bites and pieces start slipping away at the back of my mind.

ITALY.
After 9 months, almost 300 days, 7hours of flight to Dubai, 5hours of transit time, another 6hours flight from Dubai to Fiumicino airport (the immigration was truly a MESS, they have the ugliest immgration stamp showing only the date you arrived, not even the word "immigration/italy/rome. And the queue was gawddamn loooong, only 2 out of 5 counters were opened. SO, did you just say Malaysia sucks?), one hour on the airport van to Windrose hotel, FINALLY. Finally, we reunited with the brother! I promised myself to hug him at the moment I see him in Rome, and I did it. :)

Creation of Adam by Michelangelo

We totally missed out on this because Sistine Chapel was closed on the day we arrived. As well as the "Stairway to Heaven" in Vatican Museum. Just so you know, Vatican is a city enclaved within a city, which makes it the smallest country in the world. Rome is certainly an amazing place, I will come back for you. :3 Some of the must-visit for first timer in Rome :

St. Peter's Basilica & Square
Confession box in ze basilica

Ponte St Angelo

Pizzaaa! -is like our roti canai.
you see them wherever you go but it tastes good,
even though it is just a roadside stall

Trevi fountain

le Pantheon.

I'm watching you!

Spanish steps @ Piazza di Spagna

How could you not fall for the blue skies?

Baby honey peach

Local tour to Colosseum, Palatine hill & Roman forum

Mentally ready for the history lesson but the weather was scorching hot and unbearable.
My advice : Don't ever go to Italy during summer.
YOU WILL FAINT.

Roman forum - ancient Rome
Julius Caeser tomb. He's truly a lucky guy. WHY?
He gets fresh flowers everyday. :3

NOW you see how hot it is.
When angmohs are holding umbrella, NO KIDDING.

Inside the Colosseum. I've always imagined something else on the inside.
Now I know what it looks like. :) pretty impressive.

Fathers' Day in Rome! <3
A special one of all years.
Told you I gained weight during the trip, stupid round face :(
No one seems to believe it. LOL.

A very traditional train schedule board @ Roma termini.
So harry potter-ish when the numbers and alphabets start flipping one by one.
Off we go to Florence!
